My Poetry
Here are a few of my poems for you to enjoy!!!!!
My Angels
When I was just a young girl
Tragedy struck my life
I found out I was to be a mom
It ruined my whole world.
I was just a child myself
Yet here I was, alone
A child grew inside my womb
Cause he threw me a bone.
One night of lust, that summer
In the backseat of his van
He told me that he loved me
And he would always be my man.
But when I found that I had now
A baby in my gut
He told me that it wasn't his
And said I was a slut.
But little did that jackass know
On what he would miss out
I had a lovely baby boy
Who loved to fish for trout.
You were my pride and joy, my son
Though you started as a curse
You stayed up all night crying
And were a big drain on my purse.
You needed food and diapers
You needed lots of money
To buy the things you needed
Meant no food for me, honey.
But I would gladly do it all
Again for you, dear boy
And then I found out soon after...
Oh shit...ANOTHER boy.
This time I felt I was in love
With a wonderful young man
He didn't hit or yell at me
Or "do" me in his van.
We made sweet love one night
Outside the local bar
You call it cheap, but it was love
That night inside his car.
Nine months later, look out world
Here comes another kid
I just hope that when you both grow up
You wont make the mistakes I did.
I love you both, though it was hard
to be your mom sometimes
And though I struggled for so long
Im so glad that you are mine.
The End.
The Kweewa Of My Dreams
She came to me in my dreams
Just when I was at my worst
She told me that all was not lost
I could be helped
She was beautiful
With hair of mkateewa
And lips of mshkwaawi
I could not take my eyes off of her
She kissed me tenderly, under the tepeki kiishthwa.
I could hkawe'she the wolves howl
And neeme the eagles soar around us.
I knew that this kweewa had come to me
To make sweet love in the deep nepi of my soul.
She warned me "My sweet nekoti, do not put your faith in the ileni,
For he will darken your kiishthwa, and turn your tepeki kiishthwas hothaawa."
I knew then that my life would change, when I awoke.
As the waapa stars shone down on me, I knew I would find this kweewa again
And miichi her till the nepi runs dry.
Untill then, my love....I will see you in my dreams.
